Leslie King-Hammond is Dean of Graduate
The Black Experience in American Studies at the Maryland Institute, College of Art,
where she lectures on a variety of topics. including
traditional African art forms and Africans in the New World.
She directs the Phillip Morris Scholarships for Artists of Color
Program. and serves on numerous art commissions and Art: New Age of Discovery
