THE MUIR STRING QUARTET has risen to
international prominence since winning the 1980
Evian International String Quartet Competition and
the prestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Award
in 1981 .
The quartet is a favorite of chamber
music audiences and continues to garner
critical acclaim.
The ensemble is Quartet-in-Residence at Boston
University and has recorded on the EMI label.
