Dear ~~rs. Downey:
July 15, 1971
It has been a great pleasure for me to talk with Corita's sister about an
exhibition here. I hope I will be fortunate enough to meet you both some day.
This letter confirms my request for a sizable number of Corita prints
for an exhibit to be featured during our Autumn Cultural Festival celebrating
outstanding Women of the World. I am only sorry t hat Corita will not
be able to share t he festivities in person. However, the showing of her
work will play a most important part.
We would like to exhibit t ho work during the month of September and
will appreciate receiving it as soon as poss ible '5efore then in order to have
ample time for framing.
May we have any publicity photos and biographical data avai labl e so that
we can begin pr ess coverage?
Also, we assume t hat we will receive a price list al ong \dt h the work
so t hat we can arrange to sell the pl'int s. I amppleased that the University
can benefit with a 40\ commission.
Thank you for all of your suggestions. I look forward to learning how
to reach John Fitzgerald and will welcome any t houghts you or he might have
on setting up the e~1ibition .
Sincerely,
(l.-frs.) Audrey Thonson
