Reverend Sir:
I am greatly interested in your letters to me of May 28th and June 4th, which appear to describe the Lashar place which I laid out near Bridgeport so many years ago. If you will send me some snapshot photographs of some of the features, I shall be glad to give you my recollections concerning them. The whole layout made a great impression on me, - it was novel and fortunately true to the Japanese manner, since the late Langdon Warner, an authority on Japan, helped me with the design of the entrance, the bridge, and the general character of the sacred Mount Fujiyama.
Sincerely yours,
Arthur A. Shurcliff
