Concrete arches of Alumni Hall and scaffolding looking northwest
This photograph shows the curved bare concrete arches that make up the “skeleton” of Alumni Hall. There is a crane on the left, and Loyola Hall is also visible on the far left in the background. Where one can see a pile of dirt in photograph there is a large parking lot in front of Alumni Hall now. Behind the car toward the left of photograph would be where the Kelley Center is now. Behind the green trailer in the middle of the photograph there is now an athletic field.

This is Alumni Hall during construction looking west-southwest from the front of the gym. You can see scaffolding, the foundation of the hall, and a crane in the background. If this photo were taken today (2007), the School of Nursing would be visible on the far left, Bannow Science Center would be in the far center and the corner of Barone Campus Center would be on the far right.

Construction of the Novitiate for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
This is an architectural photograph taken for the E&F Construction Company and Fletcher Thompson Inc. of the Novitiate or Main Building of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The sisters lived in the convent until 1989, when Fairfield University purchased the property and its associated buildings to create the Dolan Campus. This building was combined with Julie Hall to become the John C. Dolan Hall.

The David J. Dolan House, formerly named the Estate House and completed in 1930,was home to the School of Continuing Education and is now the location of University College.

The David J. Dolan House, formerly named the Estate House and completed in 1930 is now the location of University College. This photo shows the house before it was transformed to become part of the University campus. The parking lot was turned into lawn and walking paths, and the trees in front were removed to show more of the building's unique facade.

DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Mary Hardy Corrigan Reading Room
This is the Mary Hardy Corrigan Reading Room in the clerestory of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library. For the antique-looking lighting on the study tables, the architect was inspired by William Morris designs and the Arts and Crafts Movement. The architect for the renovation and expansion of the library was Stubbins Associates, who wished to create a welcoming atmosphere for students to read and study. The construction was implemented by the Gilbane Building Company.

This view of the grand stairs of DiMenna-Nyselius Library was featured on the cover of Choice magazine for March 2003. Choice contains current reviews of publications and other resources for academic libraries. Choice has a circulation of 35,000 and reaches more than 22,000 libraries and an estimated 13,000 faculty in higher education.

Estate House and Main Building of the Sisters de Notre Dame de Namur
This is a postcard of the Estate House and Main Building of the convent occupied by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Founded by Saint Julie Billiart in 1804 in Amiens, France, they are a religious order dedicated to providing assistance and education to underprivileged communities. The sisters sold this property to Fairfield University in 1989. It was renamed the Dolan Campus, in honor of benefactors Charles and Helen Dolan, and now housing many university offices as well as a dormitory.
